ISMBS 2019 Social Events
Welcome Reception
The reception (social hour) will be held at the Symposium site, the Great Arsenali in the old Venetian harbor, on 27 August 2019, 20:00 - 21:30.
Symposium Banquet and Entertainment
The banquet will take place at a restaurant in the old town of Chania on 29 August 2019, 20:30 - 23:30.
The participants will be entertained by live Cretan/Greek music and dancers.
The welcome reception and banquet with entertainment are included in the registration fees.
Half-day Excursion
The half-day excursion will take place on 28 August 2019, 14:00 - 22:00; the excursion will be by coach to the archaeological site and museum of Eleftherna (here) and to Kournas lake (here) for dinner.
Full-day Excursion
The full-day excursion will take place a day after the Symposium, on 31 August 2019, 8:00 - 18:30; the excursion will be by coach to Kissamos and by boat to the island of Gramvousa and its Venetian fortress and to Balos beach (here). Both Gramvousa and Balos beach are protected by NATURA 2000, the European Commission Ecological Network.
