Welcome Reception
The reception included a recital and a social hour and it was held at the Symposium site, the Great Arsenali in the old Venetian harbor. 4 Sept. 2017, 20:00 - 21:30.

Half-day Excursion and Dinner at the Akrotiri Peninsula
The half-day excursion included a visit to Gouverneto by coach followed by an optional 60-min hike on a cobblestone path to Moni Katoliko (11th c), visiting St. John the Hermit's cave on the way; next there was a visit to a nearby beach for a swim (optional) and a dinner at the beach tavern with a view of the moonrise. On the way back, there was a stop at Venizelos' graves for a bird's eye view of the city of Chania. 5 Sept. 2017, 16:30 - 22:30.

Banquet

The Symposium Banquet took place at a restaurant in the old Venetian harbor of Chania on the full moon evening of 6 Sept. 2017, 20:50 -

Full-day Excursion

Two full-day excursions took place a day after the Symposium, on 8 Sept. 2017, 8:45 - 18:30:
a) guided tour of the Archaeological Site of Knossos and the Archaeological Museum of Heraklion, followed by a meal at a Kournas lake restaurant.(b) a Kissamos winery and the Elafonissi Beach (among the top beaches in the world), followed by a meal at a nearby taverna.
