International Symposium on Monolingual and Bilingual Speech 2017 (ISMBS 2017)
The International Symposium on Monolingual and Bilingual Speech (ISMBS) hosts original research on the acquisition and use of first language, second language, bilingual, and dialectal speech, child and adult, normal and disordered. The Symposium encourages a multidisciplinary exchange of ideas across phonology, phonetics, morphology, syntax, psycholinguistics, cognitive linguistics, clinical phonetics and linguistics, speech pathology, acoustics, neurolinguistics, educational linguistics, and the application of new technologies. Theoretical, experimental, observational, and computational contributions are welcome.
ISMBS 2017 was held on 4-7 September 2017 at the Great Arsenali Conference Center in Chania, Greece.
The symposium featured five plenary talks, one special lecture, ninety-four contributed oral talks, thirty-five contributed poster presentations, and a panel discussion with the active participation of the audience.
Author affiliations covered thirty-two countries in Africa, North and South America, Asia, Australia (e.g. here) and Europe (e.g. here). Forty-four languages are researched in the papers presented at ISMBS 2017 (here).
